WoW Model Viewer – Vista 64 with minimal issues

*UPDATE*: This one has been working for me without an issue today! Give it a shot!

————-

Here’s how to get the popular WoW model viewer working on Vista 64:

1. Download the latest:

http://wowprovider.com

2. Extract them to a subfolder of WoW

3. Install this:

Microsoft Download Link

4. Create a config.ini file in the same folder with these contents:

http://www.wowmodelviewer.org/forum/index.php?topic=4701.0

* Change the D:\ to your place of install *

5. Right click WoWModelViewer.exe and go to the Compatibility tab.

- Run it for Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
- Run it as Administrator

Note: I’m still getting a few errors.

“Can’t open user configuration file”
Crash on close

Otherwise it’s working. Even though I created the config.ini … I can’t get this thing to recognize this config file.

Any ideas?

"Not tested with Vista" Half the models don't display for me either, though half of them do. i.e. the character models don't show though everything else does making it….useless. Have you found a solution?

Yeah that one seems to work better for me as well. The old one loads, but the textures were all black. Thanks.
